Emilia goes above and beyond every day as she shows up to be the best version of herself for the staff and residents that she manages. Emilia has a hands on approach with the residents and is very involved in their lives and interests. Emilia is not content with checking off boxes and meeting bare expectations, she instead does everything she can to facilitate fulfilling lives for each resident. Emilia is proactive with residents’ financial and medical needs, which is made possible by her personal relationship with each resident. I find how she navigates the complex medical and legal systems necessary to fulfill her duties admirable and inspiring.
Emilia caters her management and training styles to individual staff and checks in frequently to ensure that we are on the same page. She balances creating a welcoming environment for staff to succeed while putting resident needs above all else. Emilia has great integrity and makes it clear that staff behavior that would be detrimental to resident needs or the greater team must be adjusted, and then supports staff to make those changes. She is a great leader and a fantastic program coordinator.
